Kaitlin Van

Kaitlin Van is a Los Angeles-based content creator and blogger who established her website and its Instagram presence in 2023.

 

She always enjoyed her English and Writing classes growing up. There was something about being able to get all stream of thoughts down on paper and putting it out to the world that felt liberating. It was a space where she could truly articulate complex subjects and feelings, while also including backed research/cited sources. Answering the never-ending chain of “Why?” and “How do you know?” 

 

Once she moved away from the bubble of Bay Area suburbs, she challenged herself to think deeply on the person she wanted to be and what she stood for. After her first year attending California Polytechnic, San Luis Obispo, she made it a habit to enter conversations with not only perspective to share but also curiosity to learn more. 

 

She graduated with a Bachelors of Art in Communication Studies and a minor in Entrepreneurship in 2021 and left with 2+ years of internship experience in the social media space. She went on to work in Tech Sales and later found her passion in Public Relations.  

 

Outside of her day job, she loves to travel unexplored areas, find fun and unique local experiences, and delve in her creative side. She is most expressive when she’s writing, painting, and creating content. 

 

What started as a high school writing portfolio, Kaitlin has revamped and relaunched her website to be a blog centered around the following gentle reminders: 

• Be a genuine and honest person.

• Show yourself the same love and care as you would with others.

• Turn fear into excitement of the unknown.

• Don’t lose sight of your dreams. 

• Recognize the common threads that make us human.
